The Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Authority introduced the Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Authority (Real Money Games) Regulations, 2025, to regulate online real money gaming within the state. Among various measures, these regulations mandate a "cool-off period" by enforcing a gaming blackout between 12 AM and 5 AM IST, during which users cannot log in or play real money games.
Additionally, the regulations require Aadhaar-based KYC verification for account creation. Operators must also implement daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits. Adda52 has set these limits as follows: ₹2 lakh per day, ₹6 lakh per week, and ₹8 lakh per month.
